Why is the built-in DateTime function so terrible?

It can't detect dates in the standard ISO format. It can't detect dates in many formats.

It's so bad that multiple people have created and released custom macros to do it for you.

Why is it so bad?

It isn't that difficult to build a series of regular expressions that can detect dates. Especially when you have to tell Alteryx which Fields you want to be parsed as dates.

Every single time I have to build a convoluted set of steps to convert dates it pisses me off.

I wish I was better at building custom macros, because then I would just build one that works for me.

Вы внезапно обнаруживаете, что стандартная библиотека Python оперирует двумя видами объектов: «наивными» (naive), которые ничего не знают о своем часовом поясе, и «осведомленными» (aware), у которых эта информация есть. И datetime.now() по умолчанию создает именно «наивный» объект, который в лучшем случае бесполезен, а в худшем — источник трудноуловимых багов, когда ваш код запускается на сервере в другом конце света.

So... I'm developing `<UTime />` and a `<UAgo />` components for Nuxt UI v4.

The first returns the localized time using the native `<time>` tag.

The second returns the localized time difference.

What's great about the first is that you can use tooltips for both to show the diff or the time.
