Some times I don't know what to think of #OpenSource
What do you do in cases, where you discover that someone else has taken your and others hard work, hours of effort, and "forked" it (in quotes) renamed the library, and because they don't want to follow what I consider normal open source practices (like having prs reviewed before they just merge it), they go on to take your and others work and make their own library that does the same thing.
I found this in their documentation, under the new version they released. Note that there was no talk about anything mentioned here, I just found this by accident:
This release marks a significant transition! The library is now *XXX, residing in its own dedicated repository. This separation stems from the current maintainer's decision to pursue a distinct development path, introducing changes that may differ from the original vision for YYY held by its previous owner. Driven by differing opinions on future development, a desire for more rapid updates, and the goal of making specific improvements, XXX now operates independently as a separate library.
Let me know your thoughts.
