I contacted my #endocrinologist about potentially using #fiasp in my #Tandem #tslim #insulinpump to help mitigate the issues I have balancing bolus response times & unpredictable #gastroparesis occurrence & duration. She’s not outright opposed which is nice, but she mentioned a different pump that is supposed to approximate how a pancreas works: #BetaBionics. I hadn’t heard of it. Does anyone have experience with this pump?

@writeblankspace As someone or other wrote, love is a drug. It may even be several drugs, I'm no #endocrinologist so I don't know for certain. As for why is love, that's nature's way of ensuring that the species endures.
I kept telling my overweight friends and family that it's not a matter of JUST will power, activity and food intake, sometimes there might be other underlying issues, so it's always a good idea to go see an #endocrinologist for a qualified opinion.
In the end, I finally took my own advice. Maybe it's more than just laziness and gluttony?

Just got my testosterone procedure done! I do this cool, less common form of testosterone called “testopel”. It’s basically a procedure where your doctor makes a very small incision in your hip / butt cheek area and inserts rice-sized pellets of testosterone. The incision heals within days and the pellets gradually release testosterone over time. It lasts for 4-6 months; SO convenient! It also keeps your hormone levels more stable than most other forms of T.
If any of you are looking to become an #endocrinologist I highly recommend seeing if you can work with a doctor who specializes in testopel!!! Not many doctors specialize in it at the moment, and there is an increasing demand for it. I asked my doctor how many testopel patients he has and he said “hundreds”. I was like 🤯 damn! He always has an in-training medical assistant with him because we need more doctors who specializes in testopel.

Yet he won't talk directly to my #Endo 🤷♀️
Instead it's a letter to my #GP for him to request an opinion from my #Endo, and then write back to him with a view to seeing me again in 6 months.
All whilst I'm creased in pain.
But?
I can have all the Oxy I can swallow🤷♀️
