It recently resonated with me through some past and ongoing projects: when people are afraid of federation, they call it “balkanization” or “fragmentation.”

I've been working all day today improving, fixing, and enhancing the comments system in Incise.

- Comments are now correctly listed for #ActivityPub fetches
- Comments are now likable from the web UI as well as through #ActivityPub
- Comment replies are now #federated as well
- Comments by remote actors (eg. Mastodon users) liked by Incise users are now #federated

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that Codeberg is not "Federated" at this time.

Now THAT would be a really powerful feature.

For example: an organization has a social media manager and wants to switch from corporate social media to decentralized ones. How to restructure such workflows in the fediverse? Mastodon or pixefed? Both accounts?

Ik zie dat daar al een paar mooie instant messaging applicaties op staan, maar ik mis nog wel de beschikbare applicaties die ook onderling federeren (zoals Conversations, Monocles en Snikket). Good systems are #decentralized, #federated, #SelfHosting-capable, #OpenSource & #OpenStandard and offer real #E2EE (with #SelfCustody of all the keys!)…
