An icy, snowy trail cuts through the forest on its way to a little bridge of simple, wooden construction. It’s mixed forest with a few evergreens, the sky cloudy.

Let's continue where we stopped last week: still at the Stuttgarter Hütte, still day 2 of the Lechquellenrunde.
We listened to the inn keeper and split our tour in half as snow prevented us from taking the "normal" way through the Madlochjoch: First down to Zürs on the same route as yesterday and then we took the bus to Zug via Lech.
From there on it was all up again until we reached the Ravensburger Hütte at the Spullersee. The sun was strong during the second part and I sweated a lot.

Duration: 3 hours and 45 minutes in total (excluding transfer times, but including breaks while hiking)
Length: 11 km
Elevation: 1485 m to 2310 m
Ascent/Descent: 570 m ↑ and 725 m ↓

Like with the airflow tests I do twice daily, I sometimes measure my morning walk.

It’s +2 miles (3.2k). My fastest time? 32 minutes one summer. Last month while battling Covid? +50 minutes.

Yesterday, I made it in 36 minutes. That’s a recovery milestone.
