i would like to give a shout-out. to user "freesound/looplicator". for doing really weird loops. sometimes repetitive, sometimes arcane. reminds me of efforts by cognition audioworks. put out with computer music magazine cover disc. almost 20 years ago. i've been using them in my music this year. #freesound #electronicmusic
While billionaires are working 50 hours a day to make the internet a surveillance shithole of slop, we have to remember that it can also be a beautiful place! #Freesound, for example, where real people upload samples that you can use for free. Some even into the #PublicDomain
As I uploaded my most recent sound to Freesound.org, I noticed that my account there has turned 20 which is my oldest account on anything by a few years. As of today I've uploaded 4215 sounds, recordings, and noises, which works out to around 1 sound every 2 days. I'm really grateful for all the feedback I've had over the years.
