Past Netlabel Days have featured hundreds of new songs each year, with full albums (remember those?) sometimes totalling up to 10 GB of new music, all freely accessible, all free to own and free to share with others.

For more information, contact Omar Willey at either info@netlabelday.org or omar@seattlestar.net.

The panels on 12 July will begin at 12:00 pm UTC-5, with an introduction, followed by a one-hour panel on curating music for Netlabel Day and the commons in general, and that will be followed by a one-hour panel about Netlabelism and Artists, and end with a one-hour panel discussion on technology, the Internet, the Commons, and The Thing We Call Music.

"I'm excited for this," says Willey. "I think others will be too."

#storySeedLibrary is proud to introduce a new author who shared his work under a #creativeCommons license, #grasshopperGeography !

storyseedlibrary.org/art/grass

It's a map of Asia divided not by countries, but by river basins, watersheds - the most natural way of dividing land. A beautiful #solarpunk symbol.

It's also available as a print in the artist's store! grasshoppergeography.com/produ

So when I first hatched the Flock of Nazguls, I created a account for donations/tips. Now that I have a site, I can stick a Ko-Fi button on there. But do I want to?

So far, I've released everything free of charge under a license, and I'm proud to have done so.

I considered adding that Ko-Fi button, if only because our sick society seems to value your stuff more if you're making money off of it.

Fuck it. I'm not monetizing. Better to wallow in obscurity.

Another one of the #Kaliningrad #homlins (see my previuos post). This time it's Grandfather Karl sitting at the Medovy Bridge, Kant island.

The image captures a whimsical scene featuring a brass sculpture of an elderly man with a large, bushy beard and mustache and prominent glasses. He is dressed in a traditional outfit complete with long-sleeved shirt, checked waistcoat, striped trousers and pointed shoes. The figure is seated comfortably on what appears to be the armrests of a bridge railing.

Under this charming character are multiple padlocks, each differing slightly in color and size, suggesting they may have been placed by various individuals. These locks hang against the backdrop of dark metal railings that frame the scene.

The colors within the photo contrast vividly; the golden hue of brass sculpture stands out starkly against its darker surroundings, drawing attention immediately to it while also serving as a centerpiece for all other objects in view - including those padlocks which add splashes of color and intrigue.
