The game dev community in Ottawa is extremely close nit, supportive, and everyone knows each other.

Our local meetups are Ottawa Game Makers and Dirty Rectangles.

If you were hoping for a convention... we're not big enough for that so we go to Toronto or Montreal for those. But I've been itching to get back out to conventions again.
