The majority of people I've worked with want nothing to do with knowing how anything works. They just want their computer to auto-load all their bents like #magic , be able to access anything on the #Network without getting permission and install any #app on their #device they choose.
#Government , #libraries especially, need to untether from #broZone #architecture and do things for themselves again.
I'm not a #statistician and only have #anecdotal #evidence to go by, but I don't see a whole lotta folks doing, or even wanting, to do things themselves. Let alone, pick up the #skills required to do so.
The worst part, the people actually willing and able to help, can't afford to, because it doesn't #pay well, enough.
So, we all have to figure out a way to fix "that" first. But, that would require everyone believing doing #work themselves is better for them and the #Earth in the long run rather than #automating each and every #human #interaction out of #existence

Segnalo questa ottima band strumentale tedesca moderna, che suona un #prog #postrock un po' tedente agli anni 80'-90' quindi vagamente #retro. Questo brano mi ricorda tantissime canzoni (#invisibletouch dei #genesis, #Ineedahero di #BonnieTayler, etc etc), eppure ha delle sue peculiarità e un suo perché.

Was listening to Invisible Touch by Genesis this morning.
Holy Molys, that's a great pop song.
I think the part that I appreciate the most is the bass line.
Technically great in its playing in parts, but does exactly what the song needs in others.
Exactly what a bass part should do IMO. Gives the song room to breathe, but also knows the space to go ham.

En el mismo, hace especial énfasis en un disco en particular: #InvisibleTouch. Allí asegura que “es la obra maestra indiscutible del grupo. Se trata de una meditación épica sobre la intangibilidad. Contiene unas resonancias que hacen retroceder al oyente hacia el pasado, y la música es tan hermosa que casi resulta imposible librarse de ella”. A la hora de analizar las letras del disco tampoco escatima elogios “En términos de destreza lírica y pura habilidad para componer canciones, este álbum consigue una nueva cumbre de profesionalidad” para luego ir desmenuzando los diferentes temas del trabajo que llegó a las bateas un día como el de hoy, pero de 1986
