There was a lot of stone. And a lot of wind. And, surprisingly, not enough fridge magnets to completely bury the real textures of the place.

It was a cold December day in Mtskheta — the kind where the wind finds every gap in your coat, and the stone beneath your feet feels like it’s been around longer than time itself.

People say that standing next to something monumental can make you feel small. Personally, I just felt slightly frozen and a bit lost, making this portrait with an equally cold metal Zorki-3, a Jupiter-8 lens, and Kodak TMax film.

Important things are sometimes closer than we think. 400 kilometers along the turquoise coast road to Kaş in May 2024 — just to realize that I’ve been living by the real Mediterranean for almost two years. Better late than never.

This shot was taken on a lazy morning with a Zorki-3 and a Jupiter-8 lens on Kodak TMax film, capturing a ferry to the Greek island of Kastellorizo, which can be seen on the horizon.

From when I lived in Arvika a few years back, studying my first music degree. I had just gotten my Canon 7 back from service and took it for a walk in the cold winter. If I don't misremember, it was close to -20 c. The focusing mechanism of my Jupiter 8 almost froze solid and I couldn't focus properly, but the camera worked flawlessly.
