So it’s 4 weeks today since the house got stripped. I e mailed the letting agent to ask when the 2nd damp survey would be done.

Her reply…
‘The walls will need to stay like that for a few months im afraid – I did explain this over the phone when we spoke. Basically the property needs to breath through the warmer months so w can obtain a better reading your damp course – It will be summer by the time we have a better idea of the best course of action.’

Finally had the roofer out to have a look today. It was the same guy that came early last year. He remembered, he said work needed to be done then, letting agents knew, and I guess landlady decided not to do it. Not surprised.

Electric and boiler back on 🙂I had a feeling it would be ok this morning, but wanted someone to check it out properly.

Now I just have to tidy all the mess from the contractor, wait 4 weeks for another damp survey and see what happens after that.

He decided not to strip my cupboard, under stairs cupboard or younger teens ceiling, so there’s a slight chance we may see him again, if letting agents want them doing.
