As my Linux notebook is really really slow if auto-cpufreq is turning down the CPU frequency I wrote a small shell script to overwrite the governor.
This works really great, sadly it's using up a lot of battery real quick. But in the performance mode the device if nearly unusable outside of the terminal as it is that slow.
Is there any tip how to change auto-cpufreg to turn up the frequency in performance mode if the load reaches 100% for a period of time?

My favorite Windows feature is it's "shutdown".
Where I click "shutdown" and close the lid on my notebook, so Windows can eat the entire battery in 4-6h and then die.
Linux just shuts down or something stupid, like that.
