Here are the first two beginner activities for Arduino UNO. Take a look: github.com/mirobotech/ARPS2/tr

Today I programmed my first microcontroller. It's a Pimoroni Tiny2350. I got a simple "Das Blinkenlights" python script working on it (with Micropython and Thonny), which makes the RGB LED flash red, blue, and green, alternatingly.

got my new Badger yesterday :-) and cant wait to try everything out. Currently testing Images on the e-paper with and without dithering ... This could be my future smarthome remote Handheld with Display and great Battery life ... for Heating, lights, TV and so on ...

The second version is #MicroPython for my BEAPER Nano circuit using Arduino Nano ESP32.

Find that version here: github.com/mirobotech/BEAPER-N

It feels like Groundhog Day!!

I'm developing a beginner microcontroller programming curriculum in four versions.

First is #MicroPython for my BEAPER Pico using Raspberry Pi Pico.

Find a curriculum overview and the first activity (plus a preview of the next two) here: github.com/mirobotech/BEAPER-P

@rpimag I gave MicroPython a whirl (as CircuitPython doesn't support Bluetooth on the the Pico W) and wrote questionable code that scans BLE for Inkbird ITH-11-B Thermo-Hygrometers every few minutes and relays the data (humidity/temperature/battery level/rssi/MAC address) to my MQTT server over WiFi.

I then have another script which saves the data from MQTT and graphs using RRDtool.

Played around with the UNIX port of #micropython a bit and got my framework to deploy to my router (the poor thing is Linux-based but can't run much) and run some other programs as a subprocess for scripting. github.com/maruno/mpy-blox?tab

Buenas,

como decís por aquí, se vienen cosicas. 😀

Y poco a poco ir avanzando.

Y contando. 😊

Are you learning or teaching beginner #MicroPython using #Arduino Nano ESP32

These beginner activities: github.com/mirobotech/BEAPER-N

... are designed for my BEAPER Nano circuit: mirobo.tech/beaper-nano

They'll work with breadboard circuits too!

The BEAPER Nano circuit is designed for beginner microcontroller instruction and is controlled by an Arduino Nano ESP32 microcontroller (blue circuit, beside the LCD display). It can be assembled with pushbuttons, LEDs, a piezo buzzer, potentiometers, a light sensor, optical floor sensors, a motor driver, a SONAR module, a graphical LCD, and I2C expansion devices. Students use it to learn microcontroller programming and can make simple games, robots, and controller/IoT devices.

Monday morning is when I get distracted by the projects and other info in the @adafruit Python on Microcontrollers newsletter, which is so much more than just Python on Microcontrollers! If you have any interest in microcontrollers and fun projects, it is definitely worth signing up for it.

What framework/system would you use if you were creating commercial/professional code and applications for an ? Options seem to include IDE, ESP-IDF, , ,…and maybe others.

My experience is that several options are easy to start, but it does feel like I’m in less control by third party components being packaged, but maybe that’s a good thing (I’m mostly concerned about needing to make a fix to third party code that isn’t actively maintained).
