I try to setup mollysocket with my own ntfy-server, but molly keeps giving me a "connection add.. " to https://ntfy.sh instead of my own ntfy-server.
I'm trying to run this in air gappeed mode.
Anyone?
EDIT: I have made som progress. The url is correct now.
If I have the ntfy-app open on my phone and I send a test notification with curl I see that the app makes a blink, but molly does not show any notification. Molly says UnifiedPush is OK.
EDIT2: It's actually worse with Molly + UnifiedPush than Signal with Google Play Services.
I'm back on Signal with Google Play Services and have written a forum post to see if anyone has any clue.

This weekend, we have updated our #MollySocket server. It can be used with our #Ntfy server only at this moment.

@chewie By using Signal-FOSS or Molly-FOSS you just force the Signal app to use its WebSockets-based notification fallback mechanism. But if you have Play services installed and have granted them network permissions, you might as well just use FCM for notifications. It saves battery life compared to each app maintaining its own background network connection.
If you're using @mollyim you also have a third option for receiving notifications: @unifiedpush
But since Signal doesn't support it natively, you need a mollysocket server that receives the Signal notifications and translates them into UnifiedPush format. The mollysocket server is connected to your Signal account as a linked device, but it does not have your decryption keys. There are public instances of mollysocket like mollysocket.adminforge.de
The easiest and best way to get started with UnifiedPush (IMO) is the recently released Sunup distributor app.

I'd be testing it ASAP, but unfortunately you still haven't accepted the patch to run the notifications through #UnifiedPush and #MollySocket. So I'll have to stick to the Molly spinoff for a while.
Es gibt ja eigentlich genug Menschen, die #ntfy Server aufgesetzt haben, oder auch #mollysocket. Da ich aber ein wenig Pause brauchte von optimieren der #Friendica|instanz und einen Server "über hatte" dachte ich mir, ich sorge mal für ein wenig Abwechslung in der #Dezentralisierung. Wenn viele die selben Server nutzen, sind die ganze Dienste ja auch irgendwie zentral. Ob jetzt alles so reibungslos funktioniert, wird sich die nächsten Tage zeigen. Falls sich hier jemand anbieten möchte, für die eine oder andere Antwort auf die Fragen...nur zu 🤗😉

Frage zu ntfy, das funktioniert bei mir nur sehr zeitverzögert, wenn überhaupt. Meistens bekomme ich neue Nachrichten nur mit weil ich #molly öffne. Nutze ich dagegen #nextpush selbst gehosted klappt das ohne Zeitverzug.
Magst Du oder jemand anderes vielleicht eine Anleitung zum selber hosten des #mollysocket machen?

Heute auf der Arbeit war ich richtig produktiv. Eine #Nextcloud eingerichtet, einen #ntfy Server für meine Benachrichtigungen und einmal #mollysocket für #Signal in Betrieb genommen. Achso und dann natürlich die Arbeiten, für welche ich in der Werkstatt angestellt bin 🙈🤣🤣🤣
Man muss Prioritäten setzen.
