Mobile browser update: extensions became inoperative in/on #WaterfoxBrowser, so I switched to #MullBrowser, in/on which the extensions I use habitually work without incompatibility issues
Oddly(?) enough, this coincided with a similar issue with the desktop #LibreWolf running on #Manjaro.
Happy "private" browsing! :vulcan_hmn_g1:!
How did I miss that #MullBrowser is dead? 😢
Moving to #IronFox , it looks really cool.
O #MullBrowser, o mais "badass" dos browsers no que toca a privacidade em android, foi descontinuado :blobsad:
Felizmente tem um seguidor.
Long live the #ironfox :ironman: :firefox:
Pode ser descarregado em vários sítios, inclusive no @fdroidorg, mas é pena não estar no repositório oficial.

PSA if you use Mull (the privacy hardened Firefox/Fennec fork) on Android, or any of the other apps maintained by DivestOS: It is now dead. https://web.archive.org/web/20250115190317/https://divestos.org/pages/news#end
There is a fork called IronFox. Unfortunately it is not in the official F-Droid repository, and I don't think they have reproducible builds, either :(

Sad to see that #MullBrowser, the privacy-oriented fork of #Firefox for #Android, has been abandoned.
I recently changed from #fennec to #mullbrowser but now #fdroid is telling me to use #fennec because mullbrowser is not developed anymore. Does somebody knows, why the development was stopped? #security
RIP #MullBrowser
I wish #MullBrowser and #DivestOS were still maintained. Totally understand why, but I adored Mull. Now I keep swapping between #browsers trying to find a good substitute.
#foss and #android lost a really amazing browser, and I'm not going to forget it anytime soon.
Does anyone use #MullBrowser? There is a known vulnerability, says #fdroid, and #fennecbrowser is suggested to be installed instead of it.
#Mull #Fennec
@GreyLinux
Sticking with #Iceraven on Android (via APK install). #Librewolf, which I now use on Linux, has no Android version and they suggest #MullBrowser (via Fdroid) but it wouldn't sync for me.
As for email I use the #Betterbird soft fork of #Thunderbird on #Linux (easier to set up for windows, btw) and the excellent #FairEmail on #Android.
For the privacy inclined on android. There is a fork of the now unsupported Mull Browser.
The fork is called Iron Fox and appears to be mostly a straight fork currently without any modification.
It'll be interesting to see how it develops alongside Fennec browser

À suivre mais un fork a été repris sous le nom de IronFox avec un des mainteneurs qui répond aux questions ici sur le forum de PrivacyGuides :

@fdroidorg
Wow, so #MullBrowser will be discontinued as well (together with the whole #DivestOS project), that's bad news 😕 Everyone can switch to #FennecBrowser as an alternative FF build.

Continuing this thread from two months ago.
I think I found my #Firefox replacements. For #Android this is now #MullBrowser by @mullvadnet. I used #Fennec before, but suddenly it had update issues, so I switched. For #Linux desktop I think I'm going to switch to @zenbrowser. Although still in alpha, it's really usable. Only small issue is that there are no Debian/Ubuntu packages (.deb) available, so I have to use AppImage (that I don't like). Flatpak is also available, but not as an optimised build. Anyway, I'm going to remove all other forks from my system, and use #ZenBrowser in parallel with stock Firefox for a while. Hopefully they will go in beta soon.
Been on the hunt for a good browser. I'm thinking of #librewolf for my desktop, but they don't have a mobile version. Heard about #MullBrowser for Android but don't know of anyone who has used it before.
