I was used to click a function/method/variable/whatever and move to its definition, or highlight its occurrences.
I'm now messing up with a Python script.
Let alone I don't know Python, how to use Emacs in an effective way?
Can I navigate the code somehow, as in those simpler 😉 #IDE out there?

Canals follow the topography. They turn and wind. When boaters misjudge a turn, they have to put the engine in reverse to avoid "touching" the bank. (Surely not ME!)
Especially when there's an audience, it's tempting to try to rev your way through what's become a multi-point turn.
But there's no fast way out. A 17-tonne boat accelerates slowly. I've learned, if the boat is drifting into alignment—however slowly—just wait; let it drift.

Had a look at the winding hole, which is about 6 boat lengths ahead.
It's lined in concrete. I could see where boats have scraped and chipped away at it. Some wood beams would be welcome, to protect both the steel boats and the concrete.
Tomorrow I'll turn the boat in there, very slowly, and then head back uphill and south for a full day before deciding: east, west, or further south?
