Seit dem Jahr 2024 bin ich von Windows 10 auf Linux(Mint) gewechselt.
Seit ungefähr dem Ende des 1.Quartal im Jahr 2024 bin ich fort von Windows 10 und hin zu Linux gewechselt, da mich Windows 10 zunehmen extrem genervt hatte mit den beständigen Updates für irgendwelche neue „Schnüffeleien“ getarnt als unscheinbare Anwendungen im Hintergrund welche nur bedingt sowie mit Aufwand deaktiviert werden konnten.
Que GE haya mantenido esto tan bien a pesar de que en su momento escribía que era principalmente para tener lista una distro preconfigurada para su padre y para él... Menudo crack.
My #linux journey started in May as CoPilot and other invasions of privacy started to be announced for Windows. I've spent all of that time (minus a day on #pop_os ) on #linuxmint and tonight I feel comfortable enough to try moving to another distro. #NobaraProject here I come!

Foi minha primeira oportunidade de usar Wayland e GNOME 46 com o driver proprietário da Nvidia sem nenhum problema. Porém, muitas outras coisas acabaram surpreeendendo.

Eu testei o projeto Nobara no meu PC de trabalho por alguns dias e foi uma experiência cheia de altos e baixos. Sem dúvida é uma distro com potencial e alguns recursos interessantes.
@darth I juggle CachyOS and Nobara Project but I'm getting tired of the constant 7 hour long #proton shader caching in Warframe every time I update my PC with pacman so as much as I absolutely adore #CachyOS as an arch variant and linux distro in general, I play Warframe way too much to put up with that so I might be moving to #NobaraProject + Arch Distrobox in the future, depends on if that gets fixed.
I really don't want to leave CachyOS, it's my favorite distro, but NP doesn't do this to me.
I've gotten to the point where like, I found my #linux distros of choice ( #NobaraProject and #cachyos ) I know how to do everything I need to do, everything I want to work just works (except for VR gaming, that's still pending important updates)
Honestly, I kinda lament that there doesn't seem to be any more discovery like when I started out using linux for gaming, but frankly, that was always kind of the goal to begin with, to just stop thinking about it as my "Linux PC" and more as my "PC".
Finally bit the bullet and reformatted the Windows 10 gaming rig into a Linux gaming rig. Went with Nobara 38.
For some reason the KDE version freezes up on me and I can't complete the installation, so I went with GNOME for now. I plan to do the manual switch to KDE later tonight if everything's holding up well.
I've been playing a lot of Path of Exile recently, and it doesn't run on Linux natively. This'll be a good test of Proton I reckon.
Really impressed so far with #NobaraProject, looking forward to the Fedora 39 update.
I have my new #FrameworkLaptop put together and installed #NobaraLinux #NobaraProject on it! Community forum says #FedoraLinux is best for this machine and so far the battery life has been pretty good!

@notsle I am assuming you're using #Ubuntu due to your hashtags. I'd recommend trying out the #NobaraProject, it's a #Fedora based distro maintained by #gloriouseggrole. It has a ton of kernel patches for gaming related stuff.
I've done most of his changes to my #Gentoo system.
I've spent a week or so now settling into #ubuntu and I'm actually enjoying it now that I've got most things figured out. Getting the trackpad to work was... Exciting. But now I've seen #NobaraProject and well shit if that doesn't look just a little fancy 🤔
@peertube big plus if it's #linux and #fedora based since I'm on @Gloriouseggroll's #nobaraproject and loving it. Esp since I ditched windows for Linux fully almost 8 years ago now. Hell if anyone knows any good #linux and #linuxgaming accounts to follow other than glorious, and @gamingonlinux that's a big plus too ^_^
