Its been a while since I posted on here, but I just upgraded to an HP Omen 17 inch laptop with a RTX 5070. I put #NobaraLinux on it and haven't had any issues with it so far gaming wise. Really happy with the gaming experience on it.

#NobaraLinux has satisfied all my #gaming needs in the last ~2 years and allowed me to remove Microsoft Windows. I’m grateful for that. But it is ridiculous to have to search for issues and the details of fixes/workarounds on Discord of all places and Reddit (more open than Discord but 😬). GloriousEggroll made this for his/his father’s needs and I’m grateful for him choosing to share that with the world, but this is becoming more and more unacceptable to me as something I use and rely on. 😔😒

Just want to confirm on here, has any other nobara users had issues updating from 42 to 43? I keep getting told there are thousands of packages to update but they just… won’t? I think it says something about package conflicts and most of the packages are still 42 but others are 43? I’m just sort of confused about all this.

Now part of me thinks I did something wrong during the update process to be fair. I’d reinstall but I don’t want to completely reinstall at this point just to end up here again so I might as well wait for the 43 iso.

Ps, no I don’t have a snapshot backup didn’t have a spare disc to use at the time cuz dual boot.

Yesterday, I tried to play #Borderlands3 on #NobaraLinux and encountered an issue with the game not recognising mouse and keyboard input. Thanks to help from a community member on the Nobara Discord, I found that disabling #SteamInput, even when there were no controllers connected, helped. 🎉 #Proton #LinuxGaming #Gaming

So versucht meine Probleme mithilfe des Nobara Chats zu lösen. Die Lösung ist: installier Nobara neu! Ganz ehrlich das erinnert mich schon sehr an Windows XP. Ich lass den PC jetzt erstmal so laufen und dann man ich nen versuch mit einer anderen Linux Gaming Distro. Sorry aus nem Fedora ne Rollings Release Distro mit eigenem Updater etc. zu machen istggf. doch nicht so geil.

Nobara Linux läuft ja ganz okay. Wenn nicht jedes Update irgendwas kaputt machen würde. Was mich aber wirklich ankotzt das es nur echten Support in diesem schwarzen Loch namens Discord gibt. Wieso kommen Open Source Projekte darauf darin Ihren Support zu leisten?

I've been pretty happy with Nobara on my tablet PC, bit I've been eyeballing Bazzite lately. Seems more stable, but I won't know till I try it.

es gibt alles was man an Software braucht, von Audio bis Video, Diverse kleine Tools, Von Musik hören bis machen, diverse Browser usw.
Aber Fedora hat nun nichts was mich dazu bewegen könnte von Debian Distributionen zu wechseln.
Als Desktop hatte ich KDE Plasma gewählt, kommt dem Windows 7 ziemlich nahe.
Aber auch hier macht es eher nen etwas langweiligen Eindruck.
Funktionalität wird groß geschrieben, und es funktioniert.
