RIPE NCC has done a great job here of listing these jobs by including the salary band (a legal requirement in the EU from next year and always best practice, but I still see orgs not doing this), clearly stating the benefits, details of working conditions, and even who will be performing the background checks if successful. Nothing hidden. No wasted time for either party.

Vereinzelt hab ich es schon in der Vergangenheit gesehen, aber jetzt häuft es sich: (Generische) Angriffe auf Websites aus IP-Ranges, die zunächst nur dem RIPE unter „early registrations“ zugeordnet sind, und deren Sub-Range man sich erst umständlich beim RIPE-whois rauspflücken muß, weil das whois auf der Konsole keinen direkten Zugriff hat.

Der Witz ist, daß im whois für die RIPE-Range jeweils die Abuse-Adresse des RIPE steht, man sich aber dann prompt nicht zuständig fühlt, weil ist ja Kunde.

Nicht nett, RIPE.

(Wenn ich die jedesmal raussuchen würde, wäre ich den halben Tag allein damit beschäftigt.)

Exploring some insights of the #DNS root servers, and I discovered this small bump of NOTIMP repsonse codes of a.root-servers.net, operated by #Verisign. I checked other server instances with public statistics, and also k.root-servers.net, operated by #RIPE observed an uptick in REFUSED responses at around that time.

Does anyone have a clue what was going on last year shortly before the Christmas days?
