Ein Hoch auf Repair-Cafés:
Anfang der Woche gab unser Fernseher den Geist auf, wollte einfach nicht mehr angehen.
Ich hab das Ding kurzerhand aufgeschraubt, bin Donnerstag mit der Netzteil-Platine zum Repair-Café #Dresden. Dort haben wir alle Komponenten durchgemessen, eine kaputte Sicherung und einen defekten Kondensator identifiziert.
Leider hatten sie die 2 Bauteile nicht da, aber einer der freiwilligen hat sie mir kurzerhand am Wochenende in den Briefkasten geworfen.
Heute hab ich Kondensator und Sicherung getauscht, und siehe da: Fernseher geht wieder!
Reparieren macht Spaß!

"What is a Repair Café?
Repair Cafés are free, community-led events where volunteer experts help visitors diagnose and fix broken household items. They started in The Netherlands in 2009 and have now spread to cities and communities all around the world.
At Repair Café El Barrio, we most commonly repair vacuum cleaners, coffee makers, lamps, clocks, clothing, and audiovisual equipment (including computers and cameras). Our goal is to empower visitors with hands-on repair skills. We don’t just fix things for you — we work with you, side by side!
When & Where
We meet once a month in the main gallery of El Barrio Artspace at 215 East 99th Street. Each Sunday session runs from 11am to 2pm and is donation-based: pay what you wish. Enjoy coffee, fresh fruit, and other refreshments while repairing your items.
To participate, send us a photo and a short description of what you’d like to repair. Once confirmed, we’ll reserve your spot for that session."

Heading home from a successful and less hectic repair cafe at Glasgow's Refuweegie. Fixed a mixer that was a carry over from last time., sorted a nice lady's radio by popping some new batteries in, a vacuum cleaner that needed the switch that controls the brush motor jiggling and opened up an amp that worked on batteries but not the power supply but ran out of time as it needed more than just reflowing the terminals.

Dort habt ihr Gelegenheit, elektronische Geräte, Fahrräder, Kleidung oder Haushaltsgegenstände mit Experten wieder in Stand zu setzen.
