My beautiful bride, 44 years ago today.
This little guy is still hanging around us and we see him from time to time. I think he's been taking shelter also in the hollow at the base of a very big old maple tree, which is in its last months or years. He doesn't seem to be particularly bothered by us, though he doesn't get too close.
He was so relaxed that I managed to get my camera and telephoto lens out to take his portrait in our autumn field.
Enjoy your #WildlifeWednesday #fox everyone!
Beautiful autumn sky on our walk tonight.
Got them! A red letter day.
Our purchase of CDs from Fediverse's own Nigel Harpeur has arrived! Can't wait to listen to them both on our #vintage sound system!
Thank you for the speedy delivery, Nigel! @nigelharpur

What do think these birds are doing?
They were perched in the high branches of these tall trees, many of them with their wings spread wide. There is no sun for them to be getting any warmth from, just overcast daylight. There were several doing this, flying off again and then coming back to do the same again. I think they are crows or ravens, though at first I thought they might be bald eagles.
EDIT: Comments have shown us they are turkey vultures
Any ideas anyone?
