I tried a little improvisation on the #Stylophone with an ostinato recorded on a loop pedal. This little thing definitely is expressive 😍 It's a small #dawless session recorded in a few minutes, but I may polish the idea a little more to put together a piece of #music.

I got a nice present from my partner. Definitely she knows me well! A #Stylophone, that is a minimalist monophonic #synth that you play touching the keyboard with a stylus. It’s a toy, but it has a little vibrato that can be very expressive, especially when coupled with external effects. I played it a little this evening and this thing is amazing 😍

While my lovely girlfriend is off saving the world on early shift duty, I grabbed my freshly loaded 3D-printed Eurorack rigs and headed out into the sun to test the collocation in the cases. Nature all around, barefoot on grass, AvocaJoe by my side… and a patch cable tangle that would make any Klingon proud. 🌿🦶💚

Just me, some drones, a ridiculous number of LFOs (because obviously), and that sweet spring air.
Perfect way to chill, modulate, and pretend I’m scanning alien frequencies from a garden outpost. 😌✨

P.S.: The setup works like a charm…

A starbase deep in Federation territory… captain’s log, stardate unknown. Two boldly colored, 3D-printed Eurorack cases (radiant orange and stellar blue) rest on a green, weathered garden table. Surrounded by blooming spring flora, the setup is ready for sonic warp trials. An orange thermos bottle adorned with a skull in Nonbinary pride colors stands tall beside the modules… radiating hydration and identity. The loyal officer AvocaJoe (knitted beanie included) guards the bridge. Multicolored patch cables arc like EPS conduits… connecting systems including a Stylophone drone synth below. Bare feet at the base… clearly, the Captain is grounded. Test phase initiated… tweaks may follow.The drone operations unit… an orange 3D-printed Eurorack case packed with Behringer Chaos (random command), uniCYCLE (main oscillator), Brains (timbre modulator), and an Erica Synths Pico Drums for rhythmic anomalies. A 2HP Catsynth mixer (catsynth.de) discreetly hides in the shadows… silently routing signals like a cloaked Romulan operative. The Behringer Abacus manages time-based functions, while the bottom-right corner hosts a Behringer Dual LFO… because in this quadrant, you can never have enough LFOs. Below, the Stylophone CPM-DS2 drone synth hums with alien resonance… equipped with three oscillators, one of which serves as the Ultra LFO. It’s ready to open a wormhole through drone-space. AvocaJoe monitors from the flank… all systems stable. Slight phase drift detected… realignment possible.Science station report… the blue 3D-printed Eurorack is loaded for deep subspace CV analysis. Modules include the Behringer 150 (with ring mod, noise, and S&H), the quad-function Four LFO, and dual 121 VCFs… ready to sculpt signals like a Vulcan engineer sculpts logic. A Behringer 112 dual VCO and 182 sequencer manage frequency and time. The Vermona Melodicer generates stochastic patterns with precision, while a CP3A-M mixer provides audio subrouting. A vivid blue Zoom MS-70CDR floats below… set for reverb-based modulation. On the far left, a legendary Koss PortaPro headset clings to the case… classic Earth tech, still unmatched for audio reconnaissance.

Finally got it done <3. A one piece print, 800g Filament in 21h :neocat_magnify:

Small studio rack, 44hp per row. Handle was bought and is attached with 2 screws.
The idea was to make a small portable drone with the CPM DS-2 as the main act.
As random signalling is missing in the DS2, i added the Chaos and as you can not have enough VCOs in a drone i also added the dual VCO. Don’t know if it will stay like this, will need some testing. It's an ongoing thing right now.
To be as portable as possible i got a USB C cable with a barrel jack, outputting 12V (PD). With that i can run the PSU with a powerbank :o) ..
