well, now that I finally start using #taskwarrior for real, I am pretty happy, I use #syncall to sync the tasks with #caldav #nextcloud and it works on #android #cli #tui the #planify app and even a #gnome extension #taskwhisperer (currently is only for gnome 47, but just adding 48 to the metadata seems to do the trick, PR opened) next is to get my server with #taskchampion
#TaskWarrior no longer auto-expires entries when these are waiting.
Usually a "until" time in the past results in the deletion of said items.

Up until recently TaskWarrior also deleted items that are waiting or otherwise not included in the current report.
Now it's no longer doing so.
I don't know why this is the case but I hate it
@oceanhaiyang @tinker I use Gqueues but any task manger will do - or even put a recurring event in your calendar app.
I'm sure there is no shortage of people int he fediverse who will tell you their favorite task manager tools and processes - so no need to take my recommendation!

It helped solve me an issue I had with displaying my #taskwarrior tasks in certain config for which I kept searching solution for quite some time, since I started using it recently.
There's lots of things to critique about #taskwarrior, but the fact that I can do `task 32 mod wait:tue due:21st` and it does what I want is pretty nice, I don't know that from other cli apps
My #commandline and #tui everyday productivity workflow is getting more solid: #taskwarrior, #jrnl, #offlineimap, #notmuch, #neomutt. I was using some of these tools one or two decades ago until I was tempted or forced onto GUI and cloud solutions by various projects. But now I can access my terminals from anywhere thanks to my #tailscale #vpn – no need for other people's clouds.
One of these days I'll write a proper blog post or series about this setup.
The TaskWarrior 3 situation on Fedora shows quite well how much work the maintainers put in for you to conveniently install packages. It seems so simple, yet in reality a shitload of work is required.
It only takes like five minutes to install a library and build it from source. But it's amazing that there are people who invest time, patience, and knowledge to make it absolutely seamless.

set the due date on task 3 to the forelast due date.
Because sometimes I do batch processing and then I want to say "hey you're an exception you revert"

I'm really trying to patiently learn #taskwarrior. But I'm about to lose my temper.
I want to teach it a common date format, but all variations result in the error message "... is not a valid date format ..."
Yes, I don't want to use Y-M-D all the time 🤬
