I use #trainasone (#TAO) as my primairy guide for (trail)running. I added an marathon begin April as Primairy event and a HM begin Feb as secondairy event.
Furthermore added only 3 workouts a week as a constraint.
But now I am a bit worried about the workouts TAO prescribes to me.
Atm I am doing approx 23km each week with 17km being my longest run so far.
I don't think an HM wont be any problem but an Marathon is a different story.
Anyone any thoughts?
@Johan_Barelds I’ve used #trainasone for training plans and definitely appreciated their volatility setting which provides some control over last minute workout changes.
That said, I'm currently using DSW because it's good enough. If it changes something or I’m simply not up for the workout, I’ll either skip it and do something else or will select more suggestions to see the upcoming workouts and choose something else. Seems to work well enough.
My combined #running and #cycling program is quite stable and consistent which I cant say from the training apps I use. Last weeks I have been switching between #trainasone #xert #garmin DSW, #intervalsicu and manual excel planning. That way I get mentally trained also 😜 .
I tested two algorithm-based #training services for #runners (#TrainAsOne and #RunningCoach) over the last two months.
Both of them were disappointing, because they failed to synchronize data (each one in their own way).
As I have to get serious now for the planned #halfmarathon at the end of May, I switched back to a manual plan that adjusts based on test runs and #HRF.
Today’s #training #run was a nice #TresholdRun.
After all the easy runs so far, I liked that one a lot, actually.

Needed to split the #runbackhome part of today’s #training #run. #TrainAsOne is not yet capable of detecting it correctly. The #EconomyRun went good as always.

I recently decided to change my #training service to #TrainAsOne for testing purposes. #RunningCoach needs to be reconnected to #Strava after each session to restart syncing. I am not going to pay for such a bad #UX. On top, I found the awesome #HealthFit app, which connects to a ton of targets. Today’s #run is my #fitness evaluation for TrainAsONE.
TrainAsOne wants me to do a 6km assessment run today. It involves pushing myself as hard as possible for 3.2k, and then running for another 3km on top of that at a more reasonable pace
I didn't make it to parkrun, so I think it's punishing me!

Veel te vroeg wakker geworden maar dat zal de leeftijd wel zijn 😝.
Wel lekker uitgerust en volgens de biometrics is de rest vh lichaam ook ok.
Mooie lage hartslag in rust vandaag.
De (sport) planning voor vandaag is ongeveer 7.5km #hardlopen waarvan 20min rond het omslagpunt. Een zgn Threshold workout.
Lekker hard lopen dus. Ik houdt dr van!
