Thursday is normally my rest day from running, but the forecast for tomorrow is to be even hotter, so I dragged myself out of bed just after 6am and did Sunday's long run today, so I can do my tempo session on Sunday when it's supposed to be cooler.

I could have picked a shadier route, but then I'd have sacrificed the elevation. What's the point of living in #Bristol if you're not going to take advantage of all of the hills?

Stopped every km to take on water (I carried 1.5L and got through the lot) which gave my heart rate a chance to drop each time. Stay safe out there. #heatwave

Muss man als #garmin Nutzer eigentlich auch noch #strava haben? #laufen

The full #tracktuesday session today with 3 reps of 1600m. I wanted to get out a little earlier, but woke up late. So I could blame the heat for my slower-than-wanted splits (6:52, 6:44, 6:43) but really that's just where my fitness is right now.

Also had a lovely little chat with a fellow runner who has been meaning to chat for a while (having seen me on the railway path over the years). A shame he is moving to Norfolk in a few weeks, but maybe I'll see him out and about before he leaves.

Hey there. AFAIK there are no #Strava alternatives with #ActivityPub yet. However in my recent overhaul of the #Fediverse Experience curated list I found there's one platform planning it:
