Tiny Hishult has a grand museum for contemporary art. This capture doesn't do it justice at all, but these were the only objects standing still, so to speak. The features as well as the sculpture garden were pretty wild. Fun -- funny, even -- happifying and inspiring. Must go back soon.

For the second version of the owl vase, I tried wiping the glaze away from the eyes and other highlights, but instead of letting the light clay body show through, they went dark almost black. Although not as striking as the pure gold version, it gives the piece a tarnished, weathered look
