Hi here, I'm looking for a solution to continue to use #Nextcloud to takes and sync #markdown notes.

The problem is that the official app is not compatible any more with #iOS 15.8 which is the latest version for iPhone 6.

I though maybe to find an app that use #WebDAV or something like that.

Do you have an app in mind? Or another solution?

Suche eine Möglichkeit, private Daten unter Linux auf einem gehosteten #Server zu sichern. #RSync wäre io. #SSH und #WebDAV sollten auch vorhanden sein. #Hetzner hat da was im Angebot: https://www.hetzner.com/storage/storage-box/bx21/

Gibt es in der #Schweiz ein vergleichbares Angebot? Bei #Infomaniak habe ich nichts gesehen.

J'ai aussi mis à jour #PicoDAV, mon 3ème projet (!) de serveur #WebDAV, qui tient en un seul fichier (un copier/coller vers un hébergeur et vous avez un serveur WebDAV !), pour utiliser la nouvelle version du gestionnaire de fichier : https://github.com/kd2org/picodav

PicoDAV fait désormais 110 Ko tout compris.

Nouvelle version beta de mon alternative à #NextCloud, #KaraDAV.

C'est un serveur #WebDAV complet qui intègre une interface web de gestion de fichiers et qui est compatible avec les applis NextCloud, ownCloud et OpenCloud sur Android et ordinateur.

Cette version ajoute les applications externes (super simple : iframes avec auth), un nouveau design, et une refonte de l'UI du gestionnaire de fichiers web.

Prochaine étape si j'ai du temps c'est la traduction en français.

This is a fast #WebDAV server with integrated web UI for file management, and compatibility with NextCloud, ownCloud and OpenCloud desktop and mobile apps.

This new version adds support for integrating external apps (as iframes, but with authentication), a brand new design and logo, and a complete overhaul of the file manager UI.

Next step might be to add multiple language support if I have some time

Managing files over #WebDAV with Terraform

Tomorrow, I'll be publishing a #WebDAV provider for #Terraform

It handles HTTP Basic, TLS and mTLS authentication.
It supports write-only attributes to deploy secrets, including deployment of ephemeral secrets.

In a few weeks, I expect to publish another version implementing file management over SFTP as well. Nothing new, except... I'll be doing it in a secure way.

And yes, #USBOtg will no longer work with the adapter (an adapter for that would be neat...)

But #FXConnect ( #FXFileExplorer) for device2device copying and my Routers SFtp / #Webdav so the trick just fine

Was discussing with a project that wants to get rid of #minio as it seems it’s gonna turn not-free soon. The target will be #ceph but while discussing the subject, I started wondering why #WebDAV doesn’t get more love.

I’ve used it for file sharing over Internet and still use it for my CalDAV and CardDAV and it’s pretty solid IMHO.

Anyone know of a clever way to automatically keep select files on a #WebDAV share available offline, that works really well for you? I'm hoping for a FUSE filesystem or (since I'm a #GNOME guy) a Nautilus plugin or some gvfs helper.

To be clear, I'd love that thing to sync the remote file to a local copy while the WebDAV share is mounted, then transparently switch to the local copy when the connection goes away, and then resync once it comes back.

The Corroded DAV Filesystem just got its first mutating operation: rename/move (of existing files). It appears to work - even with names that require percent encoding.

BTW, if you spot some code that doesn't appear good rust style, it's probably because it isn't. I'm not quite sure if I know what I'm doing 😁
