Nachtrag zum #wipwednesday #crossstitch
Nummer eins ist fertig, Nummer zwei hab ich endlich mal wieder ausgepackt ☺️

#WIPWednesday • Another week of admin so not much stitching got done. I haven’t shown the back of this piece for a while so here are the current hoop guts! I’m getting my flu vaccine tomorrow so more embroidery will get done over the next few days as I recover from that. #SciArt #embroidery

Lia’s fingers show a wooden embroidery hoop with black linen with a rectangle of light blue basting. It’s the hoop guts, not the front of the piece. Some tiny single strand stitching in white, peach, oranges, purples, and dark browns and grays are met with long lines of thread between various sections. Below the rectangle is a black on black mass of stitches.

I have some new ideas for this hat, but here's what we have so far. I'm curious how I'll find the decrease section, as I've not done symmetrical decreases within a center section of a hat before.

Pattern: Stockholm Hat by petiteknit
Yarn: Garnstudio DROPS Lima in Fog, and Garnstudio DROPS Kid-Silk in Ice Crystal.

A partially knit ribbed hat on pale wooden circular knitting needles. The two yarns held together form an icy blue colour and on the right needle is a glow in the dark ghost cat stitch marker marking the start of the row.

Ok, let's do #WIPWednesday this week:
- second sock almost done, but gloriously lost yarn chicken. So have to go yarn shopping first.
- started working on my sweater spin again. It feels like this wheel that I temporarily swapped with a friend, finally gets spinning smoothly again, after a long stand still. Use your wheels!
- promised myself to work on my very longtime WIP Penrose tiling. What was I even thinking when starting this in a lace weight yarn?

Left sock on needles and right one finished. They are striped and have illusion knit faintly visible cats on them. The lime coloured yarn is almost knit up.

On the bottom left crocheted fabric composed of tiny pentagons, rhombuses, boats and stars that create a Penrose tiling. The colours are two shades of blue, white, light pink, coral and a dark pink with grey edgings. On the top right little shapes that are not yet crocheted together are spread out. Some don't have edgings and yarn tails on them.

2 1/2 inch strips of fabric in shades of green and tan with floral patterns have been sewn together in groups of four and then subcut 4 1/2 inches wide to make 4 1/2 inch by 8 1/2 inch rectangles. There is also a pile of yellow triangles that will be sewn to each end in the next step.

Tensies, time for #WIPWednesday!

The #knitting "travelling project" is a simple baby or lap blanket - 7 colours of Drops _Baby Merino_ in garter stitch. It doesn't get much simpler!

The lace is Nim's _Windflower_ pattern (via Ravelry,) the #yarn is Lichen & Lace's _Marsh Mohair_ (mohair & silk) in Sage - https://www.lichenandlace.com I am only at row 54; that ball is a bit more than a third of the yardage, so it is barely begun. Hoping to complete this year, but no deadlines!
