This is me draining the water tank.

I had to run the tap for 55 minutes out the swan doors to drain all the drinking water out of the tank. It got to a point where I was thinking, "I KNOW it's not getting refilled on the fly, but IS IT?!"

No water in the tank or plumbing means things won't burst when it freezes.

Well, I covered the lavender in my flowerbed as I do every year.

My beloved lavender is old and thin, I could fit the pots of Mitsuba and blue Salvia also tucked inside. I’m getting good at wrapping this half diamond shaped frame. 😁👌

The hexagon shaped mini greenhouse with pitched roof now sits in the middle.

On its left, the drying, leggy daisy stalks and a round stone, and on the right is the drying lemonBalm bush with some still green leaves here and there. Behind the mini greenhouse, there’s a small birdbath on the pedestal, and another on the wire shelf cube close to the weathered wood fence. There are some pots here and there. The flowerbed looks done for the season.

Oh, there’s a curved piece of wood I found in the forest sitting in front of the lemonBalm bush, which looks grayish white in this photo.

The mini greenhouse is constructed with square wire shelf panels and plastic cover secured with office clips and bamboo stakes.

I can count on ✋️ the number of times I've worn jeans in the last decade... it feels great to have a good reason to wear them again! Rain now, snow & cold soon!
