Is it just me that finds much of the auto-complete in IDEs to be really unhelpful?

Even auto closing of parenthesis confuses me more than it helps.

It often doesn't even save typing - just changes which key you have to hit to get to the next line

Does anyone know of a write-up of why there is no autocomplete for numbers? Like if I type 3035 why my phone doesn't suggest 2025, etc.? I can think of some reasons why this might not be a thing from way over here in my armchair, but I know very little about this, and am interested in thoughts or experiences of someone who knows more.

Eine Frage an die Leute mit #ios Ich habe häufiger, dass wenn ich eine Möglichkeit wähle, die mir von #Autocomplete (predictive text) angezeigt wird,

(z.B. Ich tippe "Ha", die Vorschläge "Hallo","Haus","Harfe")

ein komplett anderer Vorschlag eingefügt wird, der nicht zu den 3 Vorschlägen gehörte. Also z.B. "Hampelmann".

Öh. Wie geht das, ist das eventuell ein "Feature", das ich nicht kenne?
