I've been seeing quite a few headlines the last week (Wired, Fortune, Huffington Post, etc.) where "high levels of immunity" are cited as they open to discuss the current #CovidSurge. Most of the population has some sort of antibodies, either from vaccination or infection, so at the raw technical level, yes, you could say there's evidence of widespread immune response to prior exposure.
It's misleading to claim this type of "immunity" results in better health, esp when ommitting sequelae.
Not as awkward as it should be with not a #Mask in sight during the 2nd biggest #CovidSurge .

Can we jump ahead to where the letter is released that was sent to cities and hospitals recommending #MaskMandates? I know this #CovidSurge is still on the rise but it seems very coincidental that so many reinstated them on the same day. I'm super curious who gave the go ahead. I suspect political. 🧵Last week my work held their annual conference for our members.
All of the staff at my work had to be there (including me).
Taking a RAT #Covid test before attending was requested but not required. There was no #MaskRequirement , and the masks on hand were plain surgical masks. To put it lightly, there were no planned #LayersOfProtection in place on a systemic level for this event that was being held during a #CovidSurge
Upwards of 700 people showed up.
