Support tells me, that they do not support "rooted devices" (mine is not even rooted). Other reviews note that even locking the bootloader is not working.

Was ich mich frage, warum die #FOSS Community für Smartphones #CustomROMS für relativ teure Smartphones zur Verfügung stellt und nicht für "billige" Geräte. Dabei ist doch "#Nachhaltigkeit" ein wichtiger Punkt.

I have an old Android device, the LG Tribute Dynasty, that I want to see if I can somehow get a custom ROM working with it or something. It is a MediaTek device, but both the AOSP and kernel sources are available at the Internet Archive (I remember uploading them).

What's neat is that the device can be rooted because it's vulnerable to the MTK-su exploit (the device never received updates beyond November 1, 2019). This means we can do some stuff with it, but I don't know how useful it'll be.
