- 3x5 bench at 80% 1RM
- 3x5 squat at 80% 1RM
- and…. 2x5 of ASSISTED pull-ups (*sad trombone*).
Long recovery times accompanied my random mix of music, but ended with Dr. John’s “Gilded Splinters.”
Got home to discover I’m probably on a government watchlist for last night’s post. For the record FBI/NSA/CIA/DHS, *I* have not the technical skills to make a theoretical Resist@Home app nor clever enough to come up with the name.
New #lifting program has looonnnngggg rest periods. Decided today to auto block all social and news apps when I get to the gym. Workouts will be a small oasis to where this device plays music, logs the work, and lets me text the wife.
Nice little #jog this morning on the heels of yesterday’s #lifting session, a nice start to a 12-week fitness revamp—the last six months haven’t been kind.
Decided on trying a Tactical Barbell lifting plan, mostly because it’s straightforward, basic, flexible, and *claims* it’ll leave muscles fresh for other activities. Coupling that with a running plan capped at 4.5 hr/week over 3-days/week, focused on base. The main goal is simply to do the work and re-establish good habits. Starting small and manageable.
So days 1 & 2 knocked out. 82 to go. 🤣
Bunch of pulling/lifting stuff arrived. Should help with getting logs out of the forest.
Ultimately I'm dreaming about adding one of those 12V six ton winches to one of the trailers. Perhaps add a lifting arch, or convert to a logging arch, not sure yet.
