A tall, fully leafed oak tree dominates the frame, showcasing brilliant, golden-yellow autumn foliage against a bright blue sky with scattered white clouds. The tree is enormous and majestic, with a dark, textured trunk and visible branches through the dense leaves. In the background to the left, a dark green coniferous tree provides contrast, and on the right, lighter green leaves are visible. Autumn is a magical season when it comes to colorful leaves and trees. I took this picture just outside of the Mont Tremblant YHA in Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada in 2016. The whole area is so so beautiful. Every fall color you can imagine, all assembled together in trees over beautiful colorful trees.

A footpath in the Spree Forest, Germany, the light of the sun is shining through the canopy and leaving striped patterns on the ground.
It is the beginning of autumn, yet most of the trees are still green, but on the ground you can already see lots of yellow leaves marking the change in seasons.

When I went through my photographs from the daytrip to the Spree Forest a couple of days ago, this one here caught my eye and suddenly "Living in the Moment" sprung into my head - because, well, isn't it just like that: although you have memories of your past and visions of your future, you can only LIVE in the present, in this moment, soaking it all in - especially when you are in nature.

He minded his own business, but at some point he looked straight into the camera, which resulted in this frontal shot - zoomed in and in black and white.

It has arrived - the rain. While I don't like rain particularly because it comes with grey weather conditions which is not good for my mood, I at the same time know that rain is neccessary for the plants and animals - and consequently for humans as well. So I also try to see the beauty in it from time to time - like in this photograph here 🙂
