@crk5 entirely coincidentally I passed this walking home from the station tonight. Kermit it ain’t but I can’t work out the significance - usually there’s a connection to some event or the time of year. The previous one was a serpent for the Chinese new year.
Anyway it’s quite fun.

Wife's off invigilating exams this week and she's just sent me this photo of the latest Postbox Topper near the school. The writing on the flag reads "Topper Knitters Tea Break. New Topper To Follow."

A crocheted postbox topper on a postbox. There are houses in the background, out of focus, and the sky is mostly cloudy but with a few blue patches showing. The topper is primarily an orange colour and has knitted cakes on the side we can see plus a small teapot, cup, and saucer on the rear. A red flag is raised in the centre on which the words "Topper Knitters Tea Break. New Topper To Follow" can just be made out.

Wife has just remembered she took a photo of the latest post box topper near her parents' house today. This one celebrates the recent Chinese New Year with a dragon at the centre passing on the flag to the snake in front, we guess.

Wife is sneaking in a week of work invigilating exams before we head off on holiday and she's sent me a photo of the postbox topper near the school she's at which was obviously put up for Halloween last week.

An overcast day and we're on the pavement on one side of a road with parked cars spaced along both side, mostly facing in our direction. A row of thin-trunked trees with leaves in dark green and pale browns runs along the other pavement and we can see fallen leaves of yellow and brown in the road guttering near us. Directly in front of us is a classic British postbox, cylindrical and red with a flared top. Over its top is a crocheted topper in orange with rounded figures of pumpkins, ghosts, and bats around its edge and a tall central character of a pagan-looking witch with red hair, black pointed hat and cape, and clothing of shades of green and black stripes.
