#QuickTip of the day: Easily use #ffmpeg CLI to edit an mp3 without having to decode/reencode it.

For example, if you have a track that's the last song on a CD which has a long silence before a bonus track (back when that was a thing).

> ffmpeg -i "song (with silence).mp3" -t 03:45 -c copy "song (no silence).mp3"

And now you just have the track up until it stops (at 3m45s here). Weee!

I was yesterday years old when I discovered that, if you're using a #Mac and you're in the "Equalizer" window, and you have VO focus placed on the menu popup button that selects EQ presets, holding down "Option" and tapping right or left arrow keys will cycle you through the list of presets. Forgot I'd left the EQ window open and gone to the restroom; when I returned and used option arrow to change tracks as normal, what changed instead was the EQ preset and I was like "Wait. What?!" ...
