People have been citing this #glyphosate paper for 25 years! -- "The #retraction notice cited documents made public through litigation in the U.S. that suggest employees of Monsanto, which makes Roundup, may have helped write the article without proper acknowledgment — a practice known as #ghostwriting. The documents also suggest Monsanto may have paid the study's authors."

You know all of those recent results showing glyphosate / RoundUp are dangerous?
And how some apologists retort "yeah well we have decades of data not showing harm"?
Turns out that old data that purportedly demonstrates safety was falsified!!!

Retraction Watch: Meet the researcher aiming to halt use of ‘fundamentally flawed’ database linking IQ and nationality. “Rebecca Sear is on a mission to convince publishers to retract articles that use a database that purports to rank countries based on intelligence.”
Good point from Shigeki Matsubara: When a #retraction stems from the author's request, the retraction notice should say so.

Retraction Watch: Fighting coordinated publication fraud is like ‘emptying an overflowing bathtub with a spoon,’ study coauthor says. “Systematic research fraud has outpaced corrective measures and will only keep accelerating, according to a study of problematic publishing practices and the networks that fuel them.”

"How the Growth of Chinese Research Is Bringing Western Publishing to Breaking Point"
by Christos Petrou
"By most accounts, the growth of Chinese research is a gift to the world. And to western publishers. ...
By other accounts, the growth of Chinese research has not been trouble-free. The retraction rate of China dwarfs the retraction rate of the OECD"

#ThirdIron has just announced a nice advancement in #retraction notification. Now, data about articles which cite one or more retracted articles have been added to #LibKey.
If a paper cites one or more #retractedarticles, LibKey will display an interstitial screen indicating which #citations have been retracted.

Eleven studies by Spanish scientist Rafael Luque are retracted due to fraudulent practices.
A new tool reveals the alleged cheating committed for years by the chemist, who was suspiciously prolific.
With his 11 studies eliminated by publishers, he is already “in the top 0.1% of the most retracted authors of all time”.

Apologies for the error, this is a liberal led protest of PursuitNW Church.
That being said my take remains the same, for the love of god don't go protest a church that the FBI is looking for an excuse to protect.
This is a potentially unwise protest that will lead to arrest and injury for little to no gain.
Its not likely to produce the optics the libs wish, the media will spin it as always.
Update. New study: "Male first authors have higher #retraction rates, particularly for scientific misconduct such as plagiarism, authorship disputes, ethical issues, duplication, and fabrication/falsification. No significant gender differences were found in retractions attributed to mistakes."
