C'est le cas par exemple pour le client #matrix #schildichat ou le client #tusky qui lorsque qu'ils ne sont pas connectés à un serveur push sont obligés de consulter à intervalles régulières l'arrivée de nouveaux messages ou d'évènements pour vous notifier. Grâce à l'appli #ntfy https://f-droid.org/fr/packages/io.heckel.ntfy/ et à un serveur push (https://ntfy.sh par défaut) vos applis recevront des notifications comme elles le faisaient avec Google mais via un serveur push de votre choix (que vous pouvez d'ailleurs héberger).

I have a question for Matrix / Element X users here.
Is there any apps tied to the stuff that allow making threads? I know someone who uses threads to write a lot from Discord, so I was wondering if there was something that could currently be able to do that or if this is something planned for the future in any of them?

Sometimes using a native app after using electron app for a while just feels so refreshing lol
ElementX is *so* much faster than the current stable versions of Element and its various soft forks (I'm currently using SchildiChat).
As I've said before, I'm guessing it will take another 6-12 months for all the Matrix 2.0 upgrades to be rolled out and fully stabilized in the various app and server software. But if ElementX performance is anything to go by, the new and improved Matrix ecosystem will be well worth an open-minded test.
What is happening with the #Matrix protocol?

seit ~2016 nutze ich #matrixchat (vector/riot/ #element, #fluffychat , #schildichat , #synapse , #mautrix ) und bin für mich froh drum.
aber was in den 9 jahren konsequent blieb: "normale" user wandten sich ab, weil IMMER WIEDER funktionierendes tooling alle paar monate für neue funktionen kaputt gemacht wurde.
bild kann nicht geladen werden;
schlüssel nicht verfügbar;
app/server/raum/welt nicht kompatibel;
matrix ist so grossartig und fährt dennoch 3x im jahr gegen den baum. 😭

@jackscottau Almost all the #matrix clients I've tried are either bloated (#element desktop or in browser) or so incomplete its a hard experience (chatty, and some others i tried). #SchildiChat on android is reasonable, but an element fork (fwiw).
Having watched the matrix development team/company take their toys back (https://matrix.org/blog/2023/11/06/future-of-synapse-dendrite/) I don't see any reason to trust its future as an open protocol / software more than #XMPP , a long standing, standardised protocol, with broad application support.

feels like that it is good for matrix.org to have multiple clients, but it is bad if the clients can't be up-to-date with servers
also huge respect to the author of schildichat which fixes the problem in element

Regarding Matrix, a workaround has been implemented until webpush is supported by their specifications. Element-X has a patch going on to fix the default gateway (but Schildinext works), all other clients already supporting UnifiedPush should work
