Contrary to what you may believe however, Mackie doesn't deliver its microphones in a beautiful 'flight case' that I've showcased the EM89D in.
Instead you get a plane Jane cardboard box that I've just photographed, in which the microphone normally resides.
Even TASCAM delivers its fantastic amazing microphones in plane Jane cardboard boxes.
Shure tops the charts with ugly cardboard boxes for its magnífico microphones. The boxes in which I got my SM58s are so ugly I'm not even going to photograph them.
Credit goes to Behringer who delivers it's microphones like the XM8500 in a flightcase. The XM8500 microphone has good use cases here. It's also a fraction of the cost of the EM89D, and a sliver of the cost of the Legendary Shure SM58.
Never let the low/high price of a microphone fool you. Buy it, if it captures your sound Source nice, and you will find good to fantastic use cases for many microphones which are categorized as cheap.
Sets of fantastic microphones for example are AKG matched pair condenser mics. They are fantastic for me because I have great use cases for them; they're not fantastic because they have a substantial high price.
Thank you Behringer for packaging your microphones nicely and sturdy.
