If you're after a very last minute gift idea, might I propose this as inspiration? I had to make 50 squeaky bones for an event recently and decided it'd be a very good idea to document the process so you can see how I went about it.
Change the shape, and this is a good project idea for decorations or even simple stuffed toy gifts.
It's that time of the year when I suddenly wish for a pair of fingerless reading mittens when I sit at my computer. So I pulled out one of those half-used balls of sock yarn and cast on. Next project: a belt bag, using a very cute antifascist patch that I once bought from a now-defunct web store. The only material I bought for this is a strap and some D-rings, otherwise it's stashbusting.

I finished a thing: Stashbusting some soft, drapy black cotton fabric by making a super simple spaghetti strap top.
However, I went all out on the seam finishing. I used french seams for the side seams, all the edges are bias bound.

It's that time of year to put away the winter 🤞 and bring out the Spring/Summer gear. It involves a lot of laundry.
Which leads me to thoughts of minimalism. Longingly.
Also, with all this tariff foolishness, might be a good time to watch the spending.
Playing with idea of seriously working the stash. I have stuff, unused stuff. Art supplies. Unread books. Clothes. Yarn.
Could I use up everything I already have? And have fun in the process?
Me: I don't have _that_ much yarn in my stash

I've finished making a pair of cosy house socks for my Mum's Christmas present (not pictured to avoid spoilers for her) and I thought I'd make myself a pair as well, using up some of the scrap yarn I am working my way through.
They fit but they're a bit slippery on the laminate so I've added some liquid rubber to the under side and I'm just waiting for that to cure so I can have comfy feet without going A over T in the living room

Nightmare stashbuster neutral granny square blanket on the blocking boards. Took five hours to sew ìn ends -and half were done. I'll leave it for a day, edge it then that's one down. Colours reminding me of Skye in autumn.

I've been making a few bits for my work desk this week. This is the latest one - a mat to sit under my keyboard!
The keyboard clacks too much when it's just on the desk, so I whipped up this granny rectangle to sit under it, and its great!
I'm now working on a desk tidy basket to put all the little bits and bobs that sit on my desk in, so they're all contained.

It's Sunday evening, and another bag is done! The strap is still on another bag at the moment, but I'll change it over when I use this.
I've done one side with colour and the other plain black, so I have a couple of options, and I've used a zip to help with this rather than having a flap like my other one.
