#1jour1souvenir 14 novembre 2012, marée haute dans L'Odet, calme plat. L'onde du flux montant n'est mise en évidence que par le #reflet des flèches de la #cathédrale Saint-Corentin, des toits des maisons du quai.
Mais laquelle des deux photos de ce #diptyque a été inversée verticalement ?

diptyque vertical sur fond blanc de deux photos, pratiquement identiques, mais la première étant inversée verticalement afin que les deux images présentent une symétrie.
Le photographe a capté le reflet à la surface d'une rivière des flèches d'une cathédrale et des toits et cheminées de maisons bâties sur le quai. Une très légère onde de marée montante trouble le reflet des constructions mais n'est guère perceptible sur le reflet du ciel uniformément bleu.
La première photo a été inversée, verticalement, afin que celle-ci soit symétrique à la seconde photo : les flèches de la cathédrale et les toits sont dirigés vers le haut alors que sur la seconde photo, à la composition identique permise par l'utilisation d'un trépied, les flèches de la cathédrale et les toits sont dirigés vers le bas, le reflet réel.
Évidemment, entre les deux photos, l'onde a évolué et le reflet enregistré par le capteur de l'appareil photo est relativement différent, surtout pour les flèches, et notamment les clochetons.

Foto im Hochformat. Die Kupplung zwischen zwei Waggons einer S-Bahn. Von beiden Waggons ist nur das Ende im Bild. Sie sind cremefarben, unten sind dunkel und hellblau Streifen. Davor sind die ebenfalls cremefarbenen Fliesen des Bahnsteigs. Hinter den Zügen ist eine Wand mit quadratischen grünen Kacheln. Darüber ist es schwarz. Das ganze Bild ist sehr symmetrisch aufgebaut und es spiegelt sich quasi in der Mitte.

(English follows) Photographie noir et blanc, format paysage, ratio 3x2. L'image représente le détail d'un puit de lumière circulaire, en métal et verre. Elle met en valeur la symétrie de sa conception, et sa relative complexité : le nombre de "bras" de métal est important. Dans le verre, en bas, on devine des silhouettes. Hors de tout contexte, il est difficile d'imaginer ce que représente l'image, lui conférant une dimension d'abstraction non négligeable.

Black and white photograph, landscape format, 3x2 ratio. The image shows the detail of a circular metal and glass skylight. It highlights the symmetry of its design, and its relative complexity: the number of metal “arms” is significant. Silhouettes can be made out in the glass below. Taken out of context, it's hard to imagine what the image represents, lending it a certain dimension of abstraction.
