Rehearsing the talk for @dddeu next week (yup, I actually do that! 😁) and it's coming together rather nicely.

I look forward to presenting my current take on systems thinking and its importance to us. We need it more than ever.

Used to work for NASA.
Now I work for the people.
America, baby—
You built me.
And now I’m taking the wheel.

Is there such a thing as a systemic news source?

Like, I'm not interested in murders, or car crashes, or football, or disasters UNLESS they are somehow connected to some systemic problems, and analysed in relation to them.

I understand that everything is connected, so everything can be considered systemically, but I think some events can be much more representative of systemic issues, and more useful for analysing and understanding issues.

@thoughtshrapnel Nice shoutout @inevernu ! Would listen in to a chat between the two of you about #SystemsThinking. Maybe with our friends at Look Wonder Discover?

After the last few train hosing shifts I'm thinking someone at VLine logistics is about to learn the difficult way about trying to run complex systems made of humans and heavy machinery at 100% capacity.

...actually no, they won't. Whoever is in charge now is probably already talking up their "efficiency gains" for the next promotion. They'll rocket into the C suite, leaving the material and human damage for someone else to deal with...

It's the key to fair social systems! Functional families are aware of that.

"A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.
"A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
