Oh, look! Another tech guru reminiscing about the good ol' days of as if it's a vintage wine ๐Ÿท. Because nothing screams cutting-edge like discussing a language from 1958 that was too ethereal for its own good ๐Ÿค”. Move over, JavaScript, we've got Bel in to save the dayโ€”if only those pesky numbers and errors didn't get in the way! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘Œ

We had a wonderful time at the museum! ๐Ÿ˜Š This time, we took a break from retro gaming and delved into the world of programming with BASIC. Our visitors and volunteers joined in to create a delightful quiz game! ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ’ป Not only did they work with computers, but they also honed their coding skills on paper! ๐Ÿ“

#VintageProgramming (?) and #VintageApple question:

What is your workflow for developing in #HyperCard (#HyperTalk mostly) and keeping it in version control (e.g. GitHub)?

What Iโ€™m thinking is:

Macintosh (or emulator) โžก๏ธ AppleShare IP (via Netatalk on Linux) โžก๏ธ Git (on Linux)

A HyperCard stack is a binary format so wonโ€™t go well with version control. Do you just extract (copy/paste) the code when comes time to commit? Iโ€™d love to see that in git history.

A/UX maybe!? ๐Ÿ˜„
