Fanal - der Feenwald

Der Lorbeerwald Madeiras bedeckt noch etwa 20 % der Inselfläche. Ein grosser Teil des Waldes befindet sich auf der Nordseite der Insel in einer Höhe zwischen 300 und 1300 Meter. Stimmungsvolle Eindrücke entstehen, wenn der Nebel durch die Bäume zieht und nur schemenhafte Umrisse der alten Baumriesen zu sehen sind. Einige dieser Bilder werde ich in den folgenden Tagen zeigen.

Nos asomamos desde un umbral hecho en piedra a un patio con el suelo empedrado. Las piedras son irregulares, se nota que son antiguas, y crece musgo entre ellas. En el patio hay varias casas, de dos plantas o tres a lo sumo, con las paredes pintadas de blanco. La más próxima tiene una puerta de madera roja con un cristal en la parte superior. Las paredes de la casa son blancas, pero están bastante manchadas por el musgo. Al fondo se ve otro portón de madera roja. En el patio hay un árbol con las hojas rojizas y, a la izquierda, un arbusto con flores violetas. En general da la sensación de ser un remanso de paz detenido en el tiempo.
