I shared a photo of this miniature garden statue earlier in the spring (2nd pic) but recently walked by to find the flowers gone, the plants much taller, the statue drowning in the green.

I already intended to share this, but I guess there’s also a #FotoVorschlag with a “50 Shades of Green” theme? I don’t know if this has enough shades, but here it is.

A small statue of the Virgin Mary in the sunlit front garden of an apartment building. The statue’s head looks downward, its face partly in shadow. It’s surrounded by tall plants whose green leaves reach past its shoulders. Some grasses and tulip stems, their flowers now gone, stand in the foreground in shadowy vertical stripes. Same subject and setting as the previous photo, taken earlier in the spring. The statue is a little further away from camera, affording a wider view of the garden. The plants around it aren’t quite as tall and reach only to its waist. A red and a yellow tulip bloom in front of the statue, while bluebell clusters stretch out in a row behind it.
