Hi, I'm JJ, and I do not have the money I need for my family to survive.

I am part of a plural system, visibly disabled, biracial, intersex, schizophrenic, impoverished, and probably a few other things that society tends to frown upon.

We have four mouths to feed, two of them canine, two of them human, living on a single disability check which does not cover anything past bills.

We need $800 for grocery, medicine, doctors, and supplies. Hell if we could get that early I could try saving for a water heater, since ours is kaput.

| was hoping to use the latest donation toward car insurance, but the check from my DV org toward legal bills will take a few weeks to clear. So all my cash is going toward my lawyer for today's bill.

We're also in a housing crunch because our current situation is not sustainable, and none of the transitional DV programs I've applied to have had availability yet. | really need to get a plan (and cash) together in the next few weeks so we can get into safe & stable housing.

End of this year and good riddance! Here's hoping 2026 will bring us some stability at least.

Waiting to see what affect Joy's SSA payments will have on our SNAP benefits and Medicaid.

Plus as the provisions in that budget bill roll out, I am sure we'll face the repercussions along with the other poors.

I may be a little bitter.

But I am deeply grateful for you. I count this community as a blessing and bright light during our sucky times.
