I got my pip decision today, after my mandatory reconsider letter. It was a no.

They rang me last week, I think they tricked me, but I could have just not understood. I thought they were asking about what I’d written in my letter, but I think they meant my initial review.

I don’t have the energy to deal with an appeal at this time.

I am not entirely sure why but this is probably one of the worst nights the toddler has had for a while. Although most of her symptoms have gone, she's been up wailing since 1am. I get her back to sleep and then she wakes up 15 mins later. Rinse and repeat for the last 2 hours. I am really flummoxed as I can't see what is wrong. I have just accepted I am not going back to sleep now and fingers crossed that whatever this is will have passed by the morning. #parenting #toddlerlife #exhausted

You know that feeling, where everything which is critical has to be rapidly disassembled, moved, re-moved? and then your organized and productive workspace doesn't exist, except in parts and cables strewn about in a mess of tens of boxes—great feelings.

And if it were instantly setup for immediate use (sure, sure), the physical reality of time says that there will never be enough hours to finish any projects in one day (ones which would otherwise adhere to reasonable deadlines).

Prior to yesterday's flood I was excited for work, had plenty of time, had meetings scheduled, all good. Not anymore.

At least the racks have casters for rolling, so that's a fantastic consolation. No GPUs or DPUs were hurt during the flood.

So I packed up at work once I'd finished my client webinar, came home and collapsed on the sofa for a couple of hours. Sleep came instantly. Am definitely feeling better than earlier this morning, but still feel like I have the world's worst jet lag.

I've been doing simple admin since I woke up and rescheduled everything requiring brain power until tomorrow.

So glad I'm my own boss!

Today, I am doing my p.i.p mandatory reconsider letter, and arranging Dexters cremation. I am utterly depleted, so pushing for through and will collapse when I’m done. Not feeling hopeful on the pip front, but will keep on trying.

On Friday, my car broke down on the highway. We were planning to go to France, and now our trip is interrupted. It was difficult to find a garage in Spain that would still accept the car on Friday afternoon. With some help, we found one. But my experience with poor service was confirmed once again. No one could speak English with us. So we simply left the car there and returned to the caravan. Now we're sitting in Cantabria, where it's been raining outside almost all day.
