Continuing with my #deshittification, I've now moved everything that was on #OneDrive to #ProtonDrive, almost 100% backed up on HD and #Filen.

I'm also looking into #MicrosoftOffice alternatives, and see that #MobiOffice might be a good one. Unfortunately, a few of the people I work with still use #Teams, but at least I think I don't have to pay for that once I've got rid of Office.

The #degoogling continues. I'm gradually catching all the things I signed up to using gmail – but there are a couple of things that are going to be very hard to change – for example, my #Kia account is all under my gmail, and I think I might have to cancel everything and start all over again with a better email address. *sigh*

Does anyone use their #filen cloud folders to store music files and stream it from these folders? Is this possible?

Että tämmöinen tapaus… Nähtävästi kirjoitin yli juuri sen #SD-kortin, jota piti tovi varjelemani, koska pelastin sen kännykästä kännyn alettua valittaa sen olevan rikki ja kaipaavan uutta alustusta. Kuvat sieltä tosin imuroin jo #Filen'iin turvaan, joten ehkei mitään menetty. Ja enihuu, kortti ei tunnu #RaspberryPi'n käyttöjärjestelmälevynä edes toimivan. #atkjuttuja

Irgendwei habe ich mit jeder cloud Probleme: Apple und Windows could funktioieren oft auch nur so semi sumidest geräteübergreifend.

Als Einzel-User bin ich jetzt nicht irrsinnig eingeschränkt, liegt ja alles lokal und wird derzeit "nur" nicht in die Cloud synchronisiert – meine zweite Arbeitsstation sitzt aber halt auf dem Trockenen. #Filen.io

Se'm va ocórrer fer-me un compte a #Filen, que entre els plans d'allotjament al núvol en tenen un que per 30€ tens 100Gb de per vida. Entre d'altres, hi he pujat els emepetresos i amb els ordinadors és fantàstic perquè tinc la música sincronitzada en una carpeta. Però no trobo com fer streaming des del mòbil. Coneixeu cap app que em pogués servir? N'he trobat que funcionarien amb Dropbox, Nextcloud, etc. Però no Filen.

Las notas dentro de la App Android de @filen vuelven a fallar de nuevo. NO se guardan los cambios.

Started to transfer all my cloud files from #ProtonDrive to #Filen. And then I will now downgrade my #Proton subscription from Unlimited to Mail Plus. Still thinking if I still need to subscribe to other VPN provider or if the one device #ProtonVPN be enough for me at the time being.

Ya llevo dos semanas utilizando #Filen como #almacenamiento en la #nube, y ha pasado la prueba con sobresaliente. Las aplicaciones funcionan de maravilla tanto en Linux, Windows como en Android, las transferencias son rapidísimas, y el diseño super limpio sin publicidad ni historias. Totalmente recomendable.
Por mi parte, ya le he dado la patada a #Dropbox. Con la ventaja de que Filen es mucho más configurable para sincronizar solo una parte de los archivos, hacerlo solo en una dirección, o para montar una unidad en lugar de sincronizar. Tiene todas las opciones.

I used to use sync.com (still do until my contract runs out). I switched to #filen #filen_io because I'm moving from Windows 10 to #linux_mint ). After some initial pain on windows (synced files were going the wrong direction), and some helpful advice from Filen's support team, I now have an account on 4 computers: Windows, windows, mac, and Linux, not to mention several mobile devices and tablets. I am happy to say it's all going great, and I love that I am supporting a smaller team.

OK, dann wollen wir mal #Filen testen. Auf der einen Maschine alles hochgeschoben, auf der anderen alles runter gezogen. Das klappte schon mal ganz gut unter durchgehender Auslastung der verfügbaren Bandbreite. Wenn ich es recht sehe macht Filen keinen Sync auf Blocklevel, muss also immer ganze Dateien herumschieben. Mal sehen ob das bemerkbar wird. #cloudsync

Die Filen App auf dem iPad ist eine Katastrophe.

Ich habe ja bereits über die Filen-App unter Android geschrieben, aber auf dem iPad ist das alles noch viel schlimmer.

Also im "normalen" Alltag funktioniert #pCloud gut genug, noch unauffälliger vermutlich, wenn nur ein Rechner dran hängt. Aber wehe, du rührst den Datenbestand mal so richtig um, dann ist es 1. langsam, 2. grätscht mein zweiter Rechner immer rein und will gelöschte Dinge wieder hinzufügen, wirft dann aber 3. Tonnen von Fehlern, hängt sich daran auf und synct neue Dateien nicht und 4. ist der Client gerne mal instabil.

Doch mal wieder #Filen.io testen?
