The Thue-Morse sequence is a binary sequence that is constructed by starting with the digit 0 and then repeatedly appending the binary complement of the sequence so far. Heute mit $Pubertier1 und $Pubertier2 in der #VHS zum #Koch-Kurs „Traditionelle #griechische Küche: #vegan“ gewesen. Das allein war schon mega.
$Pubertier1 weißt mich darauf hin, dass noch jemand mit #39c3 und #38c3 Bändchen im Kurs ist. In unserem Dorf?!? War sehr lustig, wir haben uns gut unterhalten.

Ein Teller mit drei verschiedenen Gerichten: ein goldenes Gebäck gefüllt mit Gemüse, eine Portion zerkleinertes Essen in einer reichhaltigen Sauce und eine bunte Mischung aus Purpurkohl und Gemüse. Ein Löffel wird neben den Teller gestellt.

"The political operation founded by Charles and David Koch raised and spent well over half a billion dollars during the 2024 election cycle, showing that the family unit remains a financial juggernaut despite its opposition to President Trump’s re-election.

Mr. Trump is no fan of the libertarian politics long pushed by Charles Koch, now 90, and David Koch, who died in 2019. But their network’s huge 2024 spending, revealed in new tax filings provided to The New York Times, points to the operation’s staying power even in a party in which it has diminished influence.

During the two-year 2024 election cycle, the family’s network raised about $578 million and spent about $548 million, the documents show. The two flagship Koch political and policy organizations, the nonprofit group Americans for Prosperity and a sibling super PAC, Americans for Prosperity Action, took in $397 million and $181 million from donors over that period.

Much of the overall money raised appears to stem from more than $5 billion in Koch Industries stock that Charles Koch directed into the network between 2020 and 2022."

#Lobbyismus ist mehr denn je allgegenwärtig.

Schnell denkt man an den großartigen #Film #ThankYouForSmoking oder an #Politiker wie die #GasKathi #Jensspahn und #FrankSchäffler. Wer "Männer, die die Welt verbrennen" von @chrisstoecker gelesen hat, denkt zudem an die Gebrüder #Koch an #Exxon und #Shell sowie natürlich aus aktuellem Anlass auch an die #Familienunternehmer

Was man jedoch nicht sofort im Blick hat: Auch die @umwelthilfe, @Finanzwende und der #DGB sind Lobbygruppen. Und wie beschissen die Welt ohne diese aussehen würde, mag ich mir gar nicht vorstellen...

Daher sollte man Lobbyismus nicht generell verteufeln, sondern sich der Vor- und Nachteile bewusst sein.

I've "complained" about how "Neo-liberal" (like T****) is frequently conflated with "Liberal" ever since ABC's Martha Radditz expressed her shock that Charles "believed himself to be a " after he called himself "a " during her interview. 🤦‍♂️

I still wouldn't use the term "anti-Socialism". A lot of people think that's a GOOD thing.

The founding fathers were Democratic Socialists.

<p>After meeting some political traitors, Dante and Virgil have come across Count Ugolino, who is gnawing the back of the head of Archbishop Ruggieri as a dog chews a bone. Their story is one of the most famous and horrific in the whole of the <em>Divine Comedy.</em></p> <p>Ugolino raises his mouth from the cleric&#8217;s head and wipes his lips on his victim&#8217;s hair. He then introduces himself and the Archbishop. He explains how he, a leading politician at the time, was imprisoned with his young sons and left to starve to death.
