Peña Nieto reaparece en documental sobre Texcoco

Reflexiona sobre el NAIM y su cancelación. El expresidente analiza la obra cancelada y defiende su legalidad.

Enrique Peña Nieto reapareció públicamente a través de un documental titulado «Texcoco, la decisión del presidente«, una producción del Centro de Estudios Espinosa Yglesias (CEEY) que aborda la planeación, ejecución y cancelación del Nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional de México (NAIM).

La serie -integrada por cuatro episodios- propone una visión plural sobre decisiones presidenciales de alto impacto. En este caso, retrató una de las obras de infraestructura más controvertidas del país.

Participación de más de 50 voces

A lo largo del proyecto, más de 50 testimonios reconstruyeron el debate en torno al aeropuerto de Texcoco. Funcionarios, empresarios, académicos y expertos explicaron sus posturas sobre la viabilidad del proyecto y su cancelación.

En el segundo episodio, titulado NAIM: un aeropuerto para el siglo XXI, Peña Nieto recordó que el proyecto fue presentado oficialmente en septiembre de 2014.

Argumentos en defensa del proyecto

El exmandatario aseguró que la obra contó con estudios previos y terrenos adquiridos de forma legal. También negó los señalamientos de corrupción y malversación de recursos.

“Se ha dicho que era faraónico, que hubo malversación de recursos, pero a la postre no ha quedado acreditado, ni probado”, afirmó Peña Nieto en el documental.

Reacciones y consulta ciudadana

El documental recupera imágenes de Andrés Manuel López Obrador en mayo de 2017, cuando visitó los terrenos del NAIM y calificó la obra como excesiva y corrupta.

En octubre de 2018, ya como presidente electo, López Obrador promovió una consulta ciudadana que resolvió cancelar el NAIM y construir una nueva terminal aérea en Santa Lucía.

López Obrador pidió reunión

En el documental, Javier Jiménez Espriú, exsecretario de Comunicaciones y Transportes, recordó que durante la transición se solicitó una reunión entre los mandatarios.

Sobre ese encuentro, Peña Nieto explicó que no se realizan negociaciones durante una transición, sino que se ofrecen condiciones para una entrega ordenada de la administración.

Intervienen otros funcionarios del sexenio

Entre las voces que aparecen en el documental están Rosario Robles, extitular de Desarrollo Agrario, y Aurelio Nuño, exjefe de la Oficina de la Presidencia.

También se incluyeron representantes del gobierno de López Obrador, con el objetivo de contrastar visiones sobre el tema y documentar las decisiones tomadas en ambos sexenios.

Texcoco, la decisión del presidente se encuentra disponible en el sitio oficial del CEEY y en su canal de YouTube. El contenido se ofrece de manera gratuita.

La producción forma parte de una iniciativa que busca explorar decisiones presidenciales clave en la historia reciente del país y promover el análisis ciudadano. –sn–

In another installment of our “Zoomposium series” on the topic of #physics and its #limits, my colleague Axel Stöcker from the “Blog der großen Fragen” and I had the opportunity to interview the renowned Israeli physical chemist Prof. Dr. Arieh Ben-Naim on the exciting topic of “Demystifying Entropy”.

Arieh, who was born on July 11, 1934, held a chair in #Physical #Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for over 40 years, with his main field of research being the theory of the #structure of #water, aqueous solutions and hydrophobic-hydrophilic interactions. He was mainly concerned with theoretical and experimental aspects of the general theory of #liquids and #solutions. In recent years, he has advocated the use of #information theory to better understand and advance #statistical #mechanics and #thermodynamics.

In this context, he has also worked intensively on the question of the nature and underlying principle of the phenomenon of #entropy, which he has published in numerous often cited but also controversially discussed popular science books.

The basic tenor of all his publications and lectures is that we need a new basic understanding of the phenomenon of entropy. In Arieh's view, entropy, which originally stems from the laws of #thermodynamics and in particular the 2nd law, has been misused and incorrectly transferred as a #concept to other areas of #physics, #biology and everyday #life.

In this respect, it was finally time (bon mot) to ask the author himself about his ground-breaking theses, which cast a different light on the #phenomenon of entropy or perhaps better said, bring entropy back to its place of origin.
